loved it. get it.
- Tim Hom · v18.6
great game, good idea, optimal pathways... the pathway controls for phone suck a little bit
- Jack Shennan-Jenkins · v18.6
lovely two hour experience ❤️
- Pavel · v18.6
random setback simulator with light idle game elements, easily the worst idle game I've ever played.
- Kameko Kirishiki · v18.4
Haven't really made it all that far yet, but I'm enjoying the game. Would appreciate some kind of direction as to what I'm looking for once I start embarking on expeditions though.
- Isaac Mayer-Splain · v18.6
free no nonsense, entertaining game
- Michael Ibarra · v18.6
A relaxing, minimalist, text-based game where you explore a strange world and gather resources to build and make equipment. I did two gameplays, and they took me about an hour and a half each. The story is a little different based on how you play but the mechanics are the same. I just wish the game was longer, with more alternative ways to beat it. I would also love to be able to interact with the builder, maybe do different quests for her that would reveal more of her story.

really fun! wish it had a little more lore you could understand or speculate on
- Michelle Hrusovar (Micha) · v18.6
A very interesting sandbox. If you like puzzle games, roguelikes, and story games, you might like this. I'm going to play through it again. First play through was 5 hours.
- William Irvine · v18.6
Even though its a somewhat short game, I definitely had fun playing it, the mechanics are simple, and enjoyable, I wish there was more story to this game since its so enticing, I just want to understand more, pulls you into it. makes you want more. its worth a try if you havent already.

not for me. way too slow and limited content. also the instructions could be better
- Said Ertekin · v18.6
the game is fine but the text is too small for me to read even with my reading glasses. An option to increase the text size would be nice since I didn't get far before I had to give up.

Great game, a few hour long, hard to put down
- Marc Legendre · v18.6
I have no experience with it. It does not do anything with Talkback. There is 0 blind accessibility. I can't do anything from the Home Screen, not a single thing. I can't play the game. I paid $2 for absolutely nothing.
- Jesse S. · v18.6
Ive played through 5 times over the years. Worth at least two play throughs imo
- - (RegularBen) · v18.6
fun and thoughtful little game, addicting and great sound design
- Christopher Wallace · v18.6
super cool and creative game. beat it in about 3 hours but seems like it could be really cool to speedrun and experiment with different ways of beating it.
- Dylan Colby · v18.6
love this game so nostalgic
- Number6 foureyes · v18.6
It's fun and intriguing and engrossing
- Edward Gemmill · v1.11
One of the most fun and addictive games out there. I even got to email the Creator himself in response to my game crashing. And I quote: "She smiles" -Builder.
- Jotaro Kujo · v18.6
amazing experience, I was so stressed, looking forward to playing again. would highly recommend playing without looking the game up!
- Ryuk RyukRyukRyuk · v18.6
I love A Dark Room on desktop, and as soon as I saw this version, I bought it. I was really pleased to see that the game has a dark mode, just like the original did. This game will always be a perfect 5 starts. Brilliant storytelling, fun fights, and a tension like no other. Try it, if you dare.
- Darwin Russell · v18.6
Found the web version while being bored at school. This one is just better.
- Joshua Socarras · v18.6
nice simple game. recommended
- Aram Vardanyan · v18.6
Rediculously small text! Why so small? makes it unplayable.
- ASW : · v18.6
Fantastic experience, short and sweet (2 hrs with a little replayability)
- Erik Hansen · v18.6
finished my first run! the story is awesome, and I love the minimalist style the game has so that the player has a lot more room for imagination, it's awesome! thank you for making the game!
- Zachery Mosdell · v18.6
Excellent game! At first it seems boring due to the lack of graphics which we're all so used to but soon you get the hang of it and it's the perfect level of challenge as you try to work out how best to progress. Very unique game, well done!!
- Matthew · v18.6
an actual good game with an ending.
- Braxton Ramos · v18.4
Just play it. such a vibe
- Jake S. Fletcher · v18.4
great game with a subtle story that really engrossed you into thoughts about what it all means. simplistic yet brilliant.
- Fred Sturn · v18.4
Amazing game and am coming from playing the web version for years, but it glitched about an hour in and set my save to endgame with max resources, max progress, storyline completion, etc. I'm resetting and going to start again, but a rough bug if it had happened farther in to the run.
- Robin T Hughes · v18.4
A game j found many years ago on it's website when k was just a kid, I always loved it, but today I beat an ending, and it was incredible. Still just as much fun, but now I gained access to the story aspect as well.
- Willow “OpalHorizonZ” McAllister · v18.4
loved this. leaving a review because I forgot what it was called and had to search forever to find it again
- Kim Williams
Enjoyable. Not to spoil anything for anyone but extremely disappointing.
- Lee S · v18.4
You need to play it in the dark room (pun intended), no lights and headphones - absolutely fantastic!
- Marta S · v18.4
this is honestly a great game and it's so different on the app store than on my schools computer it's very "dark" it got me through so many hard classes and I've finally got to finish it, thank you for this great passtime
- Victor Cuesta · v18.4
super confusing. I was building huts and had like 24 villagers then randomly i had everything in the game and 5000 of every resource and didnt know what I was doing or where I was so I just Uninstalled
- Invernal Arcane
amazing experience
- Tau Kaulima · v18.4
inexpensive but worth every penny!! not normally into text only games but this one got me and never let go!
- Pete Furlong · v18.4
A masterpiece of game design and storytelling.
- Jason Cook · v18.4
Great game, but my playthrough was bugged: I had built no huts and no buildings, and suddenly I had all buildings, the dark interface, 5000 of each resources, the ship, and all buildings built. I wasted all of my time working towards finishing my no building run.
- Seth Nguyen · v18.4
Interesting, immersive and simple. One of the best games I've played in a while!
- Zoe Boston · v18.4
A memorable incremental game. thanks
- Brie Jensen · v18.4

Greatest text based game i ever played
- The Night · v18.4
good
- William Bagot · v18.4
Honestly the best game I've ever played. I think. I've spent the past year playing this over and over trying to complete it differently. For less than £2 I've deffo got my money's worth. Just bought the prequel and I'm MORE than excited to play it. The storytelling with A Dark Room is just so beautiful, the layout of the game and everything I just love it so much. If I could kiss the Devs on the mouth I would. Thank you guys.
- Vinncent Psaradelli-Clarke
funnest game I've played in a while, good story and simple but good concept
