I have been on the waiting list for this game because I love TokyoDebunker, their other game.
Pros: the color is gorgeous. The storytelling is strong. Gameplay is appropriately difficult—not frustratingly hard. The “treasure caves” are fun and beautiful. (I love the rainbow ones.) Character design is high quality.
With one major concern
Cons: Put. Some clothes. On. Female. Characters. We live in a world that’s more dangerous for women than ever. Making women’s bodies commodities is feeding the “violence and consumption is acceptable,” mindset. Women in the real world get hurt because of “minor” things, like, “fan service…” that doesn’t serve US. (Cup size does not need to be “world cup” sized. There are ways to portray female characters as beautiful AND sexy… without that hyper-fixation & exaggeration.)
Also, and here “con” seems to have a double meaning: Gems are given out in a roulette style system. You COULD get 1,000 gems for doing this task… but you got 10. Again.
Advertised SSR Characters are also unusually hard to acquire. If I save up diamonds, get 2 low level characters and 8 “memory” cards, that feels random if it happens sometimes… it feels rigged when that happens MOST times. The roulette system hits players when it comes to “earning” diamonds… and again when it comes to drawing characters. It’s frustrating and disappointing.
TYDB has a way to earn diamonds at regular intervals. It’s predictable. That system is much more fair. Also, the characters are dressed in ways that are interesting and creative, beautifully designed, but not exploitative. It’s worth noting that the TYDB characters are all boys. (Apart from MC who is plain to a fault. She seems deliberately ignored in the costume department.)
If I could give half stars, I would. 3.5. I WANT to give this game a 4-5 star rating, but the cons are weighing down what would otherwise be a beautiful, jewel-toned, creative game… with the potential for master storytelling. Earn the .5 by presenting female characters as human beings with beauty and respect, and by un-rigging the diamond/card pulling process.
I know the genre normalizes hyper-se*ualized female bodies, but that doesn’t make it right.
Be better.
As a story, everything else adds up.

Pulls are 200 gems per pull, rates are .75 for legendaries. The logarithm for the increases in currencies like exp items, cash, and hearts, are steeper than you can get f2p. No amount of time can adjust and there is no grind to make up for the missing currency, you can only keep up by spending and this game is EXPENSIVE in terms of iap

Best game for mobile
after a few hours of gameplay cause I played this game for a minute today tonight, but this game is crazy. The story is great. I love the gore absolutely love it love the characters love the voice acting continue what you’re doing. I promise you this is gonna be a big project this game is beautiful. I love it everything about it. It’s just so enjoyable. I’m going to delete every other game. I have just so you can create big updates that I can process in my phone. Thank you so much for creating this.

Potential 5 star
The story line is incredible and I love how it’s a story and a game, however, if you added a rebirth system to the characters and more side missions for utilizing them instead of just the one dungeon and pvp I think the gaming aspect of the game could become HUGE! The character design is so peak that if you took the time to make the actual gaming side good this would definitely be a 5 star review! After reading the latest updates to the story and upgrading the buildings theres basically no other reason to have the game other than reading the story. Can’t wait to see these added to the game I’ve been reading the story since launch! Also if you need any voice actors I’d be more than happy to apply😁

After about a day or two bronze keys will become useless but they will keep coming, i have over 140 bronze keys and havent seen a bronze chest since the beginning of the game they really need to fix that, because meanwhile i have 40 silver chest and rarely see any silver keys

Great game but…
So I want to love this game so much, but let’s be honest, there’s some things that need to be fixed. First off, let me say that I do enjoy the story and the gameplay is simplistic and fun. It doesn’t take all day to do daily’s and there’s daily events to do that keep it engaging from a simple standpoint, but is fine. I’m also very understanding that the story takes time so I get why the release dates of the story are so spaced apart. Let’s get to the issues, the pull rates are absolutely terrible. You get 8-10 SSR memories before you get the actual card for the character you need which is extremely hard to save gems for or if you buy them, it’s basically a waste of money. The prices on the stuff you get just is not worth it from a consumer standpoint, unless you plan on spending thousands on this, then it is what it is. When you finish the town popularity ranking, it gives you a flat experience increase, which is okay, but would be so much better if there was a reset back to the beginning, but instead you get more experience, more resources, and complete the builds and max out the town faster would be a better and much more engaging system to keep us with more to do. Again, I want to absolutely love this game, but it really needs better pull rates, town popularity needs a reset system, and the packages for spending money need better items and rewards. Fix that and this game will be amazing and I’d change my rating.

Very expensive

Game mechanics broken
I’ve been playing this game for close to 2 months now, and the Game mechanics need a lot of work. Your overall team power level means absolutely nothing in this game. You can have a power level over 2 million points stronger than the other player and still get the floor with your characters just because they dumped all their resources into one character. Likewise, the power levels don’t correspond to the dungeon level. I have been stuck at the same dungeon level for a week now. My power level has increased by over 200k and I still can’t move past it and the dungeon level is only a mere 79 when my leader level is 100. Also the mats you need to level up are extremely hard to obtain. Even with playing every day, and spending a little extra money, the leveling rewards are very minimal compared to other games of similar type.

The drop rate
It’s a great concept. Having the combination of “Game&Manga” but the drop rate for a good character is garbage. We don’t play to get the same low rank character every time. We play to draw the heavy hitters and this game only gives garbage draws.
Someone should fix that.

The gotcha system in this game is the worst, and it can be frustrating for low spending accounts. If money is not an issue, then this game is average on the fun scale. One caveat- the visual novel is entertaining.

Beautiful character art, terrible duplicate compensation.
I spent real money on a limited banner, pulled duplicate SSRs, and found out the compensation is low-value currency that doesn’t feel remotely equivalent to the rarity of the pull. A rare SSR hit should feel exciting. Here, it turns into “wait… that’s it?”
This game may look premium, but the monetization design feels predatory. I can’t recommend spending money here.

My overall experience
It’s a really good game and I love how it as a series and how easily hooked you are because of that, but other than from my experience it is a pay to win game and I have only 4 sr characters and the rest of the characters are rare and also getting the resources are over all difficult to retrieve to level up my characters. Especially with equipment and gear are difficult for me to find and use

Great game, bad customer service
The game has been fun, though it does suck to wait a whole month for new episodes. I decided to make 2 purchases in the app this week for paid gems, but all of them disappeared without me using them. Hopefully I hear from their customer service the next couple of days, or safe to say this game is fraud. My advice, if you plan to play the game, do not make additional purchases. Your gems will disappear before you can use them.

The manga is good. But everything else is not. The community is dead. If you want summons you better pay, if not you have to gather enough resources (1,980 diamonds) which are scarce. It may be listed as a free game, but it is not f2p friendly. The only thing I look forward to is the storytelling. Other than that, not worth playing. I should have downloaded a book. 🫠

Just the music
Love the story so far (chapter 11 thus far) but what keeps me coming back for more is the addictions soundtrack that this game provides. It’s a LOFI style music and I really enjoy it! I just log in and leave it in low power mode just to hear it when I study or doing other tasks!! I hope they’ll eventually make it into Apple Music or Spotify!

I wanted to get into it
First off I just wanna say that I've only completed some of the story before I dropped it and delete my account. I found this game because I'm active on Tokyo Debunker (companies sister game) and was curious to see a new title from the developers. Instantly I was disappointed the complete use of Ai. It's infuriating to say the least when I KNOW this company gets money from Tokyo Debunker, they can hire an animation team, and commission artists for the story art and cards. Ultimately the Ai in this game holds it back form being appealing at all, along with most of the core aspects of the gameplay are rince snd repeat from Tokyo Debunker. I also really wanted more from these characters design wise. They all feel boring and unoriginal. The story (from what I played) was ok, but it wasn't enough to keep me in. The prologue was ok but once again I find it hard to enjoy much since the art style just isn't my thing. It suck because I really wanted to like this game but it's ultimately just disappointing. I wish it didn't lack passion.

Exceeds Expectations!
I wasn’t completely sure what to expect, but as I played it I became more and more hooked. This is the first game I’ve played where I really enjoy the story as much as the gameplay. I love the art also, as an artist, that is usually what hooks me first…but the writer in me is also extremely happy!
I am a bit bummed about something, but, I won’t leave any spoilers. Looking forward to more episodes! (Just wish I didn’t have to wait a whole month for them.)

Summoning mechanic is idiotic
Over 20k of diamonds I’ve wasted (over 100 summons) and only 1 SR character?!Game is fun but like the title says, summoning mechanic is idiotic and not fair. How is my Battle Power over 400k yet I’m getting beat by people who only have 300k battle power in Arena just because they have SR & SSR characters? I get the game just released but this should’ve never been an issue to begin with.
