What happened?

The bot cheats
The ai bot always knows exactly where my ships are, and it gets torpedos and planes, where I don’t. It makes it frustrating. Best to play with real people.

Game is broken
I want my money back ASAP!!! The game loads then stops on asking for my age, I’d type it in and press confirm, but doesn’t proceed from that screen at all. No matter how many times I type in random numbers and hit confirm, the screen is stuck on asking for my age. This is garbage! DO NOT BUY!!!!!!!

2011 battleship
I played the old Low poly terrible graphics battleship when I was a little kid and now that I have my own phone and I am now an adult I kind of wanna play the old little Polly battleship again you know, we didn’t play battleship for the good graphics. We played battleship because it was a board game. You guys made it too complicated now and I gotta hold my phone sideways. I got a road trip coming up. I wish there was a way to roll it back to version 1.0.85.

PLAY WITH FRIENDS DOESNT WORK ON MAC
Downloaded this game to have fun with a buddy who lives in another state now. This happened to not be sun because the “join game” button actually never works. I will consider changing my rating if someone tells me if this can be fixed or if the developers fix it themselves.

Enemy turns need a timer
Frustrating when I’m one move away from winning and the other person just refuses to take their turn so the only option is to forfeit. I play this game almost daily and now I don’t think I can anymore. Maybe it’s a bug idk but it ruins the game.

Almost perfect!
Lots of fun!!! Loved the fast pace and perfect amount of suspense after deploying a missile!
A few recommendations:
- There is a lot of unused space which could be used by making the board bigger. Fat fingers know the struggle is real.
- Add the names of the ships when they’re sunk. The names we make up are hilarious, but boring people might need them.
- At the end, leave the screen up longer so I can see into the mind of my opponent by his crazy ship placement.
- Is there a way to turn on some sort of ominous music and explosion sounds?

I bought this app…yes, paid for it. All I really wanted is to play the classic game of Battleship against the computer. I did not want to sign into the Game Center to play other opponents…just something to keep myself occupied while glancing at the TV in the evenings. You only get to play a certain number of the classic games (something like 14) before you either go back and repeat them or spend more money ($2.99?) to move forward. That is kind of expensive per game. Also, you can tell that when the computer plays, it does not initially use logic when it plays - it makes pretty dumb plays. It doesn’t seem to know how big the ships are that it is seeking. And, it also seems that at a certain point, depending on how evenly ships are being sunk, the computer uses its inherent knowledge of the placement of your ships and will rapidly find and sink your ships. You can tell that the computer is not proceeding with a logical move, but somehow just knows where your ships are and sinks them. Not really that entertaining a game and you don’t get much for your money. Maybe I am doing something wrong, but I haven’t found a way to wring out more “different” classic games.

It is amazing how a hit can be scored in the middle of a ship and it knows where to go the other way to finish it off. Also in commander mode how does it let the opponent get to use whatever ordinance despite not having the points that i am required to i.e. firing a torpedo with 2 points or an air strike with 4 when i need 9 to?

I was enjoying the game, so much so that I purchased a new commander. I was charged but the commander is still locked!!!!!

AI always wins
It’s fun until it’s not. About 90% of the time when you find the last ship but miss sinking it, the AI miraculously finds all of your remaining ships so you lose. Deleting this game. I’d rather play the real game with my kid.

Do not listen to the developer. The game cheats. You are ALWAYS playing against an AI and it knows exactly where your boats are at all times. You only win when the game chooses to let you win.
Over and over, I have seen the game sink last three or four boats in one turn without missing.

Imagine if each special (Commanders) action was associated with a type of ship. Lose that ship, and you can no longer perform that special attack.

First I am going to say that the small price for this game is worth it. This game is just like the original game we had as kids. One thing is lacking. . .maybe in an update. The game either needs to automatically say, “You sank my battle ship!” Or a button if the person whose battle ship is sunk can push if so inclined.
