No reply from FMG, reinstalled, and it worked without issue, BUT I had to start over! 1☆ I truly love Fire Maple Games. I recently found they had released 2 games I didn't know about, so I decided to purchase and play "Curse of the Cobra." I have enjoyed it so far, but I just went to continue after taking a break and have received a runtime(null) error.I have cleared my cache and have restarted my phone, but no luck. I do not wish to uninstall and reinstall, as I do not wish to lose my progress.

Nice to see Fire Maple back after an absence. This point & click puzzler is fine, but a bit easy & a bit short. It also seems a little dated in style today. It's constructed well, apart from the links to their other games, only one of which seems to be on Google and therefore you can't access others. Annoying, as I'd like to go back to one. This is why I won't get rid of my physical media, books, CDs and DVDs. External links to what u paid for can vanish. My bookshelves don't.

Terrible juvenile game

The graphic are awful 2D animations that were around 10 to 15 years ago. Navigation is laborious and slow. Clicking through back story pages, a sentence at a time is painfully slow. The puzzles are very obvious but with one or two totally obtuse ones too. However, ‘Help’ is behind a weird delay of 3 to 8 minutes (no idea why it varies.) Avoid unless you are 12 years old!

Frustrating

This would be a great game..if I could ever complete it! There is a bug in the game that does not allow me to collect the flail and scepter for the mummy tomb cover. As a result I CAN’T DO ANYTHING ELSE. The graphics are cool, the puzzles challenging. But it means nothing if you can’t actually play the game. I have never had this issue with any of the other Fire Maple Games. I have deleted this one and don’t recommend buying it unless you don’t mind wasting your money and your time.

Great game. Beautiful artwork and pleasantly atmospheric like all FMG titles. The puzzles are clever and neither boringly easy nor frustratingly challenging. I almost gave it 4 stars as it's a bit short (vs. Return to Grisly Manor, for example), but you can't really fault it for the price. Keep up the good work, FMG. I cannot retrieve one of the items no matter what I do. I have turned the game off and on several times, but it doesn’t work. I cannot complete the game without the item. This is disappointing considering I paid $5 for the game. I would have given it a 5 star review otherwise.

Had a few hours quality time with my daughters, who love the fire maple games. This one is not the best one in my opinion, but it's basically the same recipe: walking around finding objects, magically opening hidden cabinets, and the occasional puzzle. I love this game. Great puzzles, fun story line, twists, and adventure. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is the animation. Not as good as thier last few. Thickety Creek has better human animation. This one the people basically look like cardboard posters that moved sometimes. One character looks like a head was just animated on a body. They could do a lot better. But this game is a Fire Maple classic. It is worth the spending money on. Great for road trips.

Short, very short, but still fun

I own pretty much all of their games. This one was okay but took a very short time to complete which was a big disappointment as I was looking forward to a real diversion. The graphics are similar in quality to previous games by Fire Maple, not in the league of Blackthorn Castle (which is amazing) but much better than others. I would have rated it higher if it cost less, it was just too short for the price - it almost felt like a “lite” version. That said, I’ll still buy their future products. It’s hard to find developers who can come up with interesting, quality games in this genre. Thank you for putting out quality products. Next time - a longer, more involved game please! Also, fast pass ability in the map would be really nice, if the game is involved enough to make it worth the effort/cost to add.

Good game, but with bugs

I love the developer, they make such great games, so much fun. I enjoyed this game, and on my third play through it had a game ending bug. When I completed the block puzzle correctly, the game didn’t let me advance. Suddenly a window popped up showing the block puzzle room. The screen froze and the game would not restart. The next day same thing, there was the main screen to continue, but the game would freeze, and show a pop up window of the block puzzle room. I had to delete the game, bummer. I love games with Egyptian themes, and this was a good one while it lasted.

Fun Game

I remember playing Lost City in grade school so you can imagine my excitement when I see new games like this. The graphics are beautiful as always. It’s not the best game from Fire Maple, as some of the previous games boasted more interesting and creative puzzles. However, I did enjoy the story and appreciated the fact that the characters didn’t stretch out when talking like they did in Thickety Creek.

I am a bit disappointed with this game so far, as compared to earlier games there is far less detail in the rooms (less items to click on, so less to give you bits of information). This makes the puzzles seem rather straightforward and takes away from the mystery-solving aspect of the game. I really love these games for their detail and atmosphere, but would hope for a bit more of the nuance of earlier games to return in the future.

Felt cheap. Normally these games are beautiful and the characters actually have a point/purpose. With this one, the characters are basically pointless and the graphics just aren't nearly what they usually are. Finished the game in about an hour and a half when, in the past, it takes twice that. Side characters are a little bland. The grandpa is grisley and the little old lady in creek had better depth and resolution. Loved the puzzles and decent fire maple type mysticism and mystery. Another puzzle boss battle at the end would also be cool. All in all I still loved it. Not perfect but each individual game has it gems and they seem like they're getting better with each chapter. Would love to go to space with gramps in the next one. Maybe as two different kids switching between the two.

Beautiful Game, Too Easy I've played every FireMaple game and love them. I was excited when this one came out, but it was so easy I didn't have to think about one puzzle. As usual, a good solid game, but a bit pricey

I love fire maple games, the atmosphere and exploration is always very fun. Was it 4 bucks worth of fun? Honestly, no, it's 1, maybe 2 bucks worth. I'm okay to pitch in a bit extra to help out a smaller developer, but there's a point where I raise my eyebrow a bit if there isn't enough content to justify the price. I'm not angry, and I'm not going to rate it poorly because of the overpricing, but I do want to let the developer know that they are testing their limits, and for some, this will be too much. Despite how much I like the games, I will definitely be checking the reviews next time to make sure it's worth the cost, instead of jumping in like I did for this game.

Way too short and easy

I love Fire Maple games, but what happened here? About an hour and a half of gameplay at this price is pretty unacceptable. It was also really easy- I just zipped right through it without ever getting stumped at all. On the bright side, this is a great game for kids. Devs, c’mon. This is a step down from your earlier games. But as always the story is engaging (even if it does just suddenly end), and the graphics are great.

Too short for the $

I’ve played all the fire maple games, and this one is still good although it has some flaws. Good graphics, for what they are lol, and interesting point/click puzzles. Main problems are with length of game, and too few actual puzzles, I can only recall two picture jumble puzzles and that’s about it.

Fire Maple Games are classic. Such gorgeous artistry and care taken for beautiful details. I get lost in the gorgeous locations and sometime just like to tool around and see the details without playing the game. I’m not a gamer and I find these games hard, but frustrating in a fun way. I find myself thinking about the puzzle throughout the day and have epiphany moments “omg! I know where that key goes!!” And I run to my phone to get to the next section. I hope they continue to make these games. Not everyone wants games to shoot things and speed around. I haven’t even completed this game yet. I like to savor it. Always 5 stars!
