- Redmask7 · v2.9.6
The audio doesn’t work !!!???
- FUMAS59 · v2.9.6
Non stop demon slaying action that will keep you on the edge of your seat! Many weapons, puzzles, etc. AND if you want MORE DooM, you should also buy DooM II!
- NoahDaGrey · v2.9.6
No audio in game play please fix
- Nebbermoney · v2.9.6
Игра топ, но только управление не очень удобное, да и в игре только английский язык.
- Dippi2596 · v2.9.6
I have played doom on an old pc before and really liked it so I was excited when I noticed that this came to mobile. This game port is great, fast paced just like the original. I haven’t tried out the mods yet as I want to play through the vanilla game first. I also like how it has a 120 fps mode for the new phones that have a 120hz screen that makes it a lot nicer. Controls are also amazing and not hard to use like a lot of people say. Might have to buy doom II on IOS.

- sharptrees · v2.9.6

BETHESDA PLEASE UPDATE YOUR GAME! PLEASE MAKE THIS GAME BOOM COMPATIBLE SO WE DON’T HAVE TO PLAY THE SAME 12 OR SO MODS!!!
- Holds up to this day · v2.9.6
This port of the doom game of PC fame is flawless save for one problem. The control interface is not configurable. It has only one layout, which is very difficult and non-intuitive to get used to. Putting all the movement controls on one joystick would be far better and seem more natural to use. having a way to move the control functions around on the controller to suit the individual would eliminate the problem. Then I could give this the five star review review it’s richly deserves.
- Bloodsugar666 · v2.9.6
This is the best mobile game because this is a original video game and they bring it to mobile it’s the best and the game controllers are so good if I was you I would get the game
- Hellboy22322 · v2.9.6
As others have mentioned, this iOS port of Doom gives players exactly one touchpad control configuration, which are fairly difficult to use. I understand no configuration will be perfect, but I would strongly appreciate the addition of gyro aiming so that the game can be played using only two fingers (the thumbs) as opposed to the currently-required three fingers: one for movement, one for aiming, and one for shooting. If gyro aiming were added to the game, the port would be very playable!
- Marshca_5 · v2.9.6
For some reason when I try to switch weapons it won’t let me
- Creepyhammerguy · v2.9.6
The original release of Doom and Doom II on the iPhone were amazing - just like playing on a GameBoy or GameBoy Advanced. Run and turn all in one control. The latest version for some reason got rid of what was a perfectly good setup for a much clunkier experience to the point that the game isn’t worth playing anymore. I wish they’d at least give us the option to choose the control configuration most preferable to the user. 1 star rating is for this having been a great game that was functional and fun, and then a unilateral decision taking that original experience away. Hope someone from Bethesda is listening and addresses this issue.
- Americanpiggy · v2.9.6
The game runs great and is classic Doom, but the button layout and size is a hindrance to gameplay, making a limited and frustrating experience
- mnaughty85 · v2.9.6
It’s super fun, runs smooth and cheats are available through the options menu!
- Bay's 302 · v2.9.6
I got into DOOM through DOOM Eternal and got 2016 a while back, like a week ago I decided to get this because it didn’t require wifi and I was a bit worried if I didn’t like it because it’s different from the modern DOOM games but I love this and I plan on getting DOOM II
- TheRealGoofyGoober · v2.9.6
Already a great port of doom, I used to play this on my old iPhone, recently upgraded and it’s kinda a pain to play now… hopefully Bethesda can update this port
- Portalwolf8 · v2.9.6
This is such a great game like the graphics oh man they are so old and it has to be the best 90s game ever this is like 1000 stars
- Reddingplays · v2.9.6
This is atrocious, two fire buttons and movement stick you can’t adjust the opacity of. Also its pretty ridiculous that after 5 seconds of no user inputs the entire screen gets filled with a control guide, lol even when you have the map open… …the einstein that came up with this idea should be forced a 100% play through on nightmare difficulty with an iphone SE, a suitable punishment for the nightmare control layout they have created.
- Jetski42020 · v2.9.6
Controls are great, music is great, killing demons with a shotgun is great. Simple as.
- evilgmer · v2.9.6
The controls are awful. I play doom on ultraviolence normally but it’s difficult to even play on the lowest difficulty with these controls. Pretty much anything is difficult. Walking, aiming, shooting… Looking online, veteran doom players also just can’t even play this source port because of controls. Sure, you can hook a controller, but it ruins portability, and I’d rather play on pc at that point rather than hooking a controller to a small screen like my iPhone or iPad mini.
- clcarrow · v2.9.6
After I beat e3m8 I saw the end credits it was amazing 3d scenes of doom guy vs the demons like imps and pinky demons amazing 5 star
- Thetangomangoman · v2.9.6
I decided to give this a quick try to see if the controls really are that bad. If I liked it, I’d keep it. It’s impossible for me to walk in a straight line and aiming and shooting is clunky. Maybe with a physical controller this can work but if I’m going to bust out a controller then I have several other, more comfortable options that I can use instead (even to this day, I can just play GBA Doom). Quick shoutout to the Doom RPG series my favorite having been Wolfenstein RPG. Those games are absolute gems well suited for a touchscreen.
- Moulinoski · v2.9.6

- nerdlyyo · v2.9.6
It was fun to revisit DOOM and all it’s8-bit glory but it’s not worth spending money because of the poor and unresponsive controls that at least I experience using my iPad. Too frustrating once the game elevates in difficulty. In fact, it’s unresponsive at times I wouldn’t spend my money if I were you.
- Gpaste · v2.9.6
Honestly despite the terrible controls, it’s still doom and its still fun if the only gaming device you have is a phone. If you have anything else i would not recommend this though.
- fjrtf · v2.9.6
Would like even basic custom mapping and ability to make the buttons bigger. Otherwise no issues.
- Ibrown39 · v2.9.6
I played Doom on the PC back in the day and enjoyed every second spent in it. I recently dl’d Doom Eternal on my PC and tried to play it…..there was No manual and any search for one was met with negative results. I finally deleted the game. I loaded Doom for iPhone and started playing it. For a PC game ported to iPhone, it works very well and it was familiar. For the price, I highly recommend it!
- WilliamGibbs54 · v2.9.6
I love Doom. I really want to play this, but can’t enjoy it because the controls are awful.
- Earl_of_Omaha · v2.9.6
The Controls are easy and simple
- Dserf · v2.9.6
Why can’t this be run on the Vision Pro?!
- Phobian · v2.9.6
I would think that the most popular game of all time would have decent controls. You can’t edit anything or move or resize any of the 4 controls on the screen. If tencent can make pubg with 30 different items on the screen and they are all resizable and movable then this should not be a problem. Figure it out!
- Coche5e · v2.9.6
The title pretty much sums it up, but I’ll go into a bit of detail anyway. The port itself is very good and a nice piece of nostalgia for anyone who was around to play the original release on DOS. If you have a Bethesda account, you can download a [rather limited] selection of add-ons, from TNT Evilution and The Plutonia Experiment to SIGIL and No Rest for the Living, to keep you entertained after you finish the main game. The only thing that takes away that fifth star is the controls; the buttons you use to fire your weapon and interact with your surroundings are small and difficult to press consistently while you’re focused on the game. Even the thumbstick is somewhat mediocre—the THUMBSTICK, for crying out loud. To walk, you have to move the thumbstick only a bit, because if you move it more than halfway forward, you switch into a full-on sprint, and not everyone likes to move faster than they can say “What in the devils!?” All in all, the port is great, just fix the lackluster controls and you’ll have a perfect five stars.
- ggc2007 · v2.9.6

- Averageyec9user · v2.9.6
This is a really great port of doom , I see a lot of reviews saying the controls are off , I think the controls are fine as long as you turn always run on
- David wright 07 · v2.9.6
I was looking to replay wolfenstein 3d and wolfenstein rpgs, (and doom rpg) and noticed i cannot DL and play these anymore! These games were great, I would appreciate seeing these back in the store!
- music guy 85 · v2.9.6
We need new add ons! It’s been over 3 years and nothing new is been done with Doom 1 or 2. And it’s getting a little stale now. Also for those complaining about touch controls. Just connect a Bluetooth controller and play. I’m using an old Xbox 360 controller. And it’s a game changer.
- urfriendtheenemy · v2.9.6
Controls are unusable. Deleted gam after 5 minutes. Played the old doom and this isn’t even close.
- otterav831 · v2.9.6
I love this game, I just wish it was ported to Mac OS as well.
- Stan n ford · v2.9.6
Pretty cool. lot of people really harping on the controls; definitely isn’t the cleanest, but it’s really not all that bad once you get used to it, especially since it’s literally Doom on an iPhone. Pretty darn cool.
- smajor1776 · v2.9.6
The original game with cheats you can use. You can also download fan made add ons. Controls are really good, best controls for a mobile port I ever seen
- HeHe As Bad As Michael Jackson · v2.9.6
Pls allow us to adjust the controls, and My dream is playing doom 1 & 2 in real FULL SCREEN on iPhone
- T!M B3AR · v2.9.6
