This is honestly the best iPhone game I’ve ever played. The gameplay and graphics are well thought out and satisfying. The gameplay loop is gratifying and the items are unique and fun to obtain. Easily worth the money.
- Diffjshahxifi · v1.0.2
honestly has been one of my most favorite tower defense games out there. i have not tried the first one, but i assume it's just as great and i'm leaning to buying it too! It has multiple towers, upgrade paths, wide selection of maps and their challenge, "items" for multipliers to boost your towers and game, many enemies that have their own abilities to beat your strategies, and items that can tweak all enemy stats to make them more challenging. overall great choice and probably a must buy and play if you're looking for these types of games.
- r6zored · v1.0.2
Fun twist on tower defense. Focus is on gameplay not cutesy art. Can be quite challenging which is welcomed.
- Gastr1c · v1.0.2
even though i havnt even played this. i bought this bc i ive been playing part1 for a very long time and ive yet to beat it. this game has the most quality content of any game on the app store... the art and story could be more like kingdom rush, but the game play is top tier. hidden gem update: finally beat part1 and started this. if it were a more artistic and a war campaign story were worked in this game has the gameplay to surpass kingdom rush. it could actually benefit from being simpler. the amount of options are dizzying. its surprising for all that genius, they couldnt make the game more successful and accessible to ppl who like a story and some art, like kingdom rush
- TrevorJMiller · v1.0.2
Please just add in that it is verified to work on M Macs. Works great and looks perfect. I really have nothing else to say about this game other than you have to play it if you enjoy tower defense games. Love the death splats.
- Betazero · v1.0.2
I downloaded several tower defense games from the stupid ads on instagram but they are never like what’s shown in the ad. Then I saw someone in Reddit recommended this game and I thought I could give it a try, now I’m totally addicted. It’s simple to start playing right away but still challenging if you want to get all the achievements. Overall 10/10
- tfddhkkgccbm/: · v1.0.2
You have a huge variety of play styles to try out, with many towers items and skills to customize your approach. the progression system is highly satisfying, so it always feels worthwhile to play another level, whether that’s conquering a new map, increasing the challenge modifiers on a familiar map to get bonus rewards, or simply trying out a new set of towers.
- Trulyarcane · v1.0.2
This is probably the best TD game I’ve ever played. It has everything and is very addicting. I do, however, have a major issue with a bug that hasn’t been fixed. When building a barricade on a unit/units, those units either get damaged or killed (and the barricade either breaks, or is built with lower hp). However, sometimes this doesn’t happen. Sometimes when doing this, all that happens is that you lose the gold, no units get hurt/killed, and of course, the barricade isn’t built. This is really messing with my strategy, as I now have to guess whether or not the barricades will even work. Hope this gets fixed!
- Obkenob · v1.0.2
'Dungeon Warfare' and 'Dungeon Warfare 2' are both great games that I strongly recommend if you like Tower Defense (TD). I agree with the other reviewers comparing it favorably to TD from the 'Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne' World Editor. The maps are well designed (for the most part) and can be made as challenging as you want them to be. The newly introduced skill tree and items keeps things feeling fresh for longer with some (emphasis on the word "some") unique and interesting combinations to discover. JAN-2024 EDIT: Game keeps crashing. I'm Lv600+ in the NG mode (can't remember what it's called) and my game keeps crashing towards the end of the tier 67 map. I made sure to keep the number of spawned units to a minimum, but it doesn't make a difference like it usually does. My traps are also reporting a negative total damage. Some trap upgrades flat out don't work at all. The "25% chance to stun for 2 seconds when dealing lightning damage" talent (called skills in the game) doesn't seem to work. Some traps are much worse than others and are basically useless.

Was looking for a new mobile game and I’ve honestly become a little too addicted to this one! xD Genuinely the best mobile TD game I’ve ever played! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
- pariah1165 · v1.0.2
Short and sweet of it, there’s so many traps that can work together in so many ways. You can play as optimally or as silly as you want and every level is open for you to do as you wish. My best advice is to figure out where you want to hold the enemies and how to get rid of them at the start of every level. And don’t be shy about taking a few runes every level; more experience is always good and if you adjust your runes to the level you can get plenty of extra xp without putting yourself at risk.
- Flameroran77 · v1.0.2
Still looks good on current Gen screens too. Wish it still got content but this is still the best out
- CorndogBandit · v1.0.2
If you like TD games it’s well worth it!
- iCritmypants · v1.0.2
Will not disappoint. No in game currency traps. Just a great game that’s worth the money.
- Rüberduckie · v1.0.2
Title says it all, have played tons of TD games and none have sucked me in like this one. No IAP, endless customization, tons of QOL improvements over the original. If you get at least one TD game this is it folks.
- Fallout22 · v1.0.2
This is a great and challenging game. No iaps or ads, just hours of TD fun. Unique yet familiar and highly addictive.

Credit to CGP Grey, this app got another $5 Seems nice so far but the graphics are a bit painful to adjust too Best on iPad 11” or larger IMO Thanks Grey!
- TheMightyRob · v1.0.2

- Infernarl · v1.0.2
Wow, amazing, very very worth is 3 bucks or so, if you’re a fan of defence games you’ll love this
- yurrruuudus · v1.0.2
This game is worth the asking price. Interesting towers. Good gameplay. Look forward to more from this developer.
- ClericalMango · v1.0.2
This game is worth $5 and has a lot of replay-ability. It’s a lot like gem craft. Update: I finished the game after a month and I probably have more things to explore but I maxed out a few fun traps like the dart trap and spinblade. Once I got enough levels I removed skill points on traps I didn’t like and moved it over to better ones. By the end I had dart traps with 4 times the normal range and over 120 starting damage. I got soul steal and eventually had 633 attack damage. I also got the mastery skill up to 20 that increases damage by 100% for frozen units at max level Now that I’m at level 200 I can focus on testing difficulty runes as I only picked the easy standard ones you can always select
- gkid19 · v1.0.2
I would pay for an upgrade to better HD graphics.

Great game. Definitely worth a download.
- nickname beta · v1.0.2
One of the best games available on iOS.
- Zаn · v1.0.2
Every TD game seems to play the frustration-relief addiction con that makes people pay for the missing thing they need to win. Not this game. This game has deceptively old school graphics because the maps are huge and contain many units at once. I’ve played tons of TD and this game and its predecessor are the ONLY one I really enjoyed.
- mddevice8 · v1.0.2
This game didn’t even ask me to rate it. But it is so amazing. Best mobile game I’ve ever played. Beautiful sadistic dungeon making without the tedium.
- UVBhjcucc · v1.0.2
Adds so much good stuff. But this is more than counterbalanced by the bad. The maps just get dumb. 3 entrances and 3 exits. 15 different paths to protect. Oh and looks like you didn’t notice wave 20 was flying units sorry. Waste an hour. You end up having to not make one single mistake which is so frustrating. You spend most of the game pausing. All the joy is sucked out in this version. Oh there’s great things. But the best of it is when it plays like the first game. It’s a shame. Because you really see what could have, should have been.
- The Stig, Some say… · v1.0.2
One of the best tower defense games out there. The first game was awesome. If you're coming from that the changes take a little getting used to, but it does make a better game. Lots of content and fun maps. Cool level up features. I love it.
- Maine Jay Bird · v1.0.2
I was a bit thrown off at first by the difficulty spike in this game but once I learned the new strategy’s I had a blast trying to figure out each level. This game is an amazing tower defense game and I can’t wait for the next installment!
- peeweee3333 · v1.0.2
Played the crap out of this during the year of the COVID. It was fun and wasted time.
- Tapdancinsteve · v1.0.2
I just finished the level “Dark Dungeon” where i whacked my first boss and earned an extra consumable trap slot, when i was prompted to rate the game. Well played, good developers; well played. Allow me to whole-heartedly oblige. Ive played my fair share of TD games starting back in the old days when Newgrounds.com was just starting and i gotta tell you, this hits that craving ive been looking for of endless slaughter fests, intensive point distribution management, and placement strategy without sparing any of the tried-and-true TD mechanics one expects in this genre. I love the ahifting enviroment gimmick brought out in this game and the plethora of diverse traps; especially traps that move the enemy into the clutches of another trap. It all gives me a fair amount if play in strategical approach, providing more than one way to skin a cat (or peasent, warrior, etc). A solid purchase, well worth the money and a good dopamine for a gamer on the go :)
- Mackeary · v1.0.2
After playing DW2 for a few days, I realized how much I like the original game in comparison. This game, like a lot of sequels, tries to outdo the original. However, the result is not as fun to play. I can beat the levels and progress through the game, but the gameplay is more frustrating than anything else. I’m all for a game trying to change some things up, but the changes were at the expense of what made the original fun to play.
- rabbitt92 · v1.0.2
I’ve played pretty much every tower defense out there and this is it, boys, this is the best.
- Myrmec · v1.0.2
As the game progresses it becomes less and less stable. Playing on iPad Pro. Playing maps ranked in the high 60s and each one of them is unplayable. As soon as I get more than 200-300 concurrent baddies on the screen the game locks up frozen and then crashes. Sometimes I make it 100 waves or more and other times I barely get to 50. I tried ensuring I did not use any boosters to increase enemy count but alas each game crashes. Really enjoyed it for while it worked.
- GreasyMullet78 · v1.0.2
So many challenges, options, traps, items, power-ups, maps, enemies...I could go on. All of this WITHOUT the universally hated in-app purchases and/or ads.
- T***bone · v1.0.2
I did not believe the reviews that said DW2 was better than DW1. Well it is. DW1 is a fantastic tower defense game, among the best. DW2 is a masterpiece of the genre. The game designer not only understands tower defense games well, he or she expands gameplay in new and interesting directions forcing you out of old tactics into new ones. Really the total package. If you love these types of games, download this one.
- Aner3129 · v1.0.2
Can a tower defense game show off maximum iPhone graphic capabilities? By all means it can. Should it hour after hour, day in and day out? Most designers think so. Glad this one has strategy and not pretty battery-killing graphics as the most important part of the game. Big points for a ton of replayability on even the earliest levels, swashbuckling audio, a great layout and so much more. A+. It does get a little time-consuming figuring what items are what... could you add a run number to each so they could be sorted by time acquired? Also The Grim disappeared after I completed an ethereal dungeon. Will it be back with more ethereals completed or is this a bug?
- lostproductivity · v1.0.2
The game is fun and much more challenging than the first installment. The only problem is that the game mechanics are not explained (not well enough in the Tips or Encyclopedia) and that impacts the ability to complete challenges. For example, getting the correct “wrath level” with no indication of where it is visible or how it is controlled.
- MikeyMike5582$ · v1.0.2
This is such an amazing game, great work guys!
- cdukes · v1.0.2
I’ve been playing tower defense games for around 10 years now and this is the best one I’ve ever played. I love that you can customize the difficulty level using runes. It means that if you like a particular map, but it’s a little too easy you can replay it on the higher difficulty. While there’s no story element, the game keeps you interested with different types of maps and end goals. There are maps with bosses, ephemeral maps, permanent maps, moving element maps, etc. In general, for every element in the game, there’s a large variation of that thing. For instance, - tons of levels - loads of “towers”: fire, ice, spikes, hex, lightning, pulley, shredder, rocket, etc., etc. - different types of towers: apply on walls, apply on floors, temporary towers that disappear on activation (on a timer, don’t have to waste money) - surfaces: walls, moving walls, temporary walls that can blow up, barricade “tower” that you can put in the way then build another tower on if you upgrade it enough - enemies, balloons (assume shout out to bloons), cars full of mobs, giants, rodents, soldiers, etc. - skills (yes on top of everything there’s a skill tree and leveling system): 3 trees, upgradeable towers, difficulty gems, skill gems - pits: lava, black holes, water And I could go on. I’m sure I’m forgetting an entire section of game elements, also I don’t even have time to describe how much you can engross yourself in the customization elements. I also love that there’s no ads or add-ons, just good fun.
- wattsbox · v1.0.2
Awesome game. No micro transactions or ads or paygates to speak of. Innovative, creates new and novel concepts. Every victory brings something new and creates new goals. Finally, a game on iOS that isn’t a dumbed down clone of every other innovative game. A real, deep, strategic game that feels like a Triple A game release . A true rarity for a mobile game Developers, I commend you! Keep it up
- Erkydorky · v1.0.2
I gave two stars because I loved the first game so much and I hope you fix this one. Game crashes when I select items. Please fix or refund.
- Mr.fancy pants9987 · v1.0.2
Worth every penny. The game has a lot of content, so many maps, towers and skills combinations. One bug to report though, the skill called manufacturing allows you to reset the consumables, but I can't seem to find the button to do it when playing.
- Meteoriteguy · v1.0.2
I thought I had played all the td games and then stumble across this hidden gem. What makes it so unique to the genre is the physicality of the traps, combos, and interactive maps. Top 5 td game in my book.
- ihatehowitforcesyoutogivename · v1.0.2
I love this game, but: 1. There’s a bug that prevents completion of the “Old Road” map (tier 6, volcano map) 2. Crafting equipment seems broken. I hope the developer fixes these problems!
- keithc238 · v1.0.2
Honestly I’ve played a ton of TD games even stemming way back to when it originated with Starcraft mods. The dungeon theme fits oh so well with this genre and Dungeon Warfare (2) doesn’t pull any details. With this version, the addition of a skill tree is an awesome way to tweak the gameplay. The best part is if you don’t like a particular setup, you may reset all your unlocked skill points with no consequence. Just plain fun. No micro transactions which to me is quite refreshing and reminds me of the way games should be.
