The experience from the start is deceiving. At first, there were only optional ads tied to in-game benefits like multiplier rewards, special choices, and gameover continues. However, after a certain stage, every single choice selection forces a 60+ second ad. The game becomes basically unplayable unless you consider waiting for ads as gameplay. I would rate it 0 stars if that were even possible.

suppose to give 5 stars. But I was stuck in chapter 2, stage 3, I lost 3 times. Such an earlier stage. The stupid AI incident is not making sense, charge me freaking 100m to survive? while the best job only pay 100k per month. or 1000 charm stat while my family is focus on intelligent? I want to love this game, but there are some major problems. I absolutely love the game itself as I've been enjoying building massive legacies. The stories are interesting. I would love it more if there was a creative mode without the challenges. The ads can be very disruptive as sometimes they are too frequent. The game does become too difficult if you are a free player as the challenges are almost impossible to pass without power ups which are hard to get (or you have to buy them).

My biggest issue with Family Go is having to provide rooms and support for the husbands and wives of my children. I understand helping my children and grandchildren, but their spouses are grown adults with their own responsibilities. Just because they married my child doesn't mean I should suddenly be responsible for providing for them too. Especially when it comes for their education. Its like a Family Welfare Game.

Some things don't make a lot of sense but at least it is not as bad as some games I have played. The game gets progressively harder the further you get into the strange story....but it keeps you wanting to know what happens next if you can make it past the more tedious grinding parts. This game is 60% fun, but it indirectly pushes you to have a lot of resources—whether that's plenty of in-game resources, strong characters, or enough "magic apples" to save yourself if the characters in your family don't develop well. That said, it also feels like many of the choices are intentionally designed to prevent your characters from growing in the first place. So no matter how you upgrade your character and how many resources you have, if the game wanted you to fail then you'll fail.

Fun at first, but the levels quickly become pretty much impossible to clear (less than an hour playing, and you'll already have reached the point where you can't complete the level without spending real money or replaying 100+ times to gather resources), and you start to enter into ad-pocalypse. So many ads you either are forced to choose to watch to not instantly fail the level at that point, or ads that you can't skip at all showing up when picking literally any option given.

it's ok. there are a ton of ads. Also, it is so hard to pass the 2nd "episode". Once you get far enough, they purposely cause you to lose. There's a scenario where you have to save the town or something and usually you don't have enough strength in your family, that you end up losing the last bit of popularity and get shoved out by the towns folk. I like this game, it's relaxing. But I feel so irritated in the Brown Bear city stage 2, I can't seem to pass. When I'm almost there, there's a question or whatever that is pop up and I had no other choice then immediately got evicted. Developers Have Abandoned Their Own Game

Family Go! was released on July 23, 2025, and it’s honestly disappointing to see the game in this state less than a year later.. WE WERE ALMOST TO ONE FULL YEAR! I used to genuinely enjoy this game, playing it DAILY, but after this latest update last week it’s become nearly impossible to play. For over a week now, the game has been plagued with constant lagging, freezing, force closing, and “No Network Connection” errors, even when connected to strong WiFi or 5G. This isn’t an isolated issue. Thousands of players have been posting screenshots, videos, and complaints in the official Facebook community describing the exact same problems. What’s even more disappointing than the broken update is the developers’ response, or lack of one. Your own community has been flooded with reports, yet there’s been absolutely ZERO meaningful communication and no timely fix. Releasing an update is only part of the job. Maintaining it, monitoring it, and communicating with your players when something goes wrong is just as important. Many of us have invested months into this game, and some players have spent REAL money supporting it. Seeing the game left in this state for a week while players continue reporting the same issues sends the message that player experience isn’t being treated with the urgency it deserves. At this point, I don’t care about new events or flashy updates. I just want a game that actually works. IF and WHEN this is finally fixed, I hope the developers understand that a generic apology and a handful of in game rewards won’t erase the frustration of losing access to gameplay, events, progress, and features for so long. Do better. Your players deserve better.

It was fun at first but then was flooded with ads after nearly every action/event. The merge game lagged so badly it was fully unplayable. There is also very little actual decision making (your first family member is locked into a random job unless you're lucky enough to get a card letting you swap to another you don't get to choose). If you’re looking for a game, that has no ad is super fun and you can never ever get tired of and never ever ends. You should definitely download Family Go! I deleted so many of the apps on my iPad just because of all the ads they have and when I found this game, I was so happy because I didn’t have any ad. great game but disappointing graphics

i love the game and how easy it is to get invested in the lives of your little guys, however the use of ai automatically makes me view it as cheap and a money grab. I hope to see them update it with real art soon.
