Tons of fun as a standalone experience. no experience with Galaxy Trucker required. I haven't tried the multiplayer, but the single player campaign gives you constant new little puzzles to figure out, a silly plot, and a great culminating challenge that took me a couple tries to beat. Well put together app. Teaches the table top rules very fluidly. I would highly recommend for teaching new players to the game. The app version adds a campaign that carries the player on an adventure with a storyline and unlocks. Interface is smooth and simple. Very easy to understand and find buttons.

Update, got the expansion, everyone should buy it... it is a lot more fun now. I completed a challenge with less than half of my initial spacecraft design, and I was thinking I was going to fail. That almost-dead and triumph made me laugh. I ♥️this game. // I like games that are original and unique; this game is not just another clone. I'm getting familiar with it, and for sure I will buy the expansion later. If you like strategy games in which you use tiles and cards, this game is for you.

It's a good computer version of a fun game, but it doesn't include my gender, the font is tiny, the dates are written in that weird US format, the contextual help mostly misses important info like what different tiles do, the more detailed rules are impossible to get out of without killing the app (and still miss some details), and it never successfully loads an online game unless I have a fast wifi connection. I can't imagine why it needs to use so much data for a few dozen tiles and moves!

Honestly, CGE is a fantastic company and made a fantastic game! I met/worked for them at Gen-Con 2024 and they had a promo special for this game! This game has so much going for it. The additional campaign mode most certainly makes this an experience that you wouldn't be able to get in the main physical board game which I really enjoy! Thank you for being such an awesome company and making a fantastic board game experience both in app and physical version!

So far, seems like a decent implementation of an excellent game, but I frequently have to close and shut down the app to access the main menu - if you look at the rules, for example, there is no button to exit this screen or others like it, unlike the PC version I own and cherish. What's worse, the app will not show nor explain what the various tiles that did not appear in the tutorial are. It's quite opaque.
