I've only played 1 season and part of 2. The game play is fine. The commune choices are nice, you have that nice middle ground, big decision, and keeping it cool. However, 60 gems at start and all the stuff cost about 10 gems or over, if you don't mind spending real money it can be a great game. You either spend money or wear the same outfit and the ones that are free are not all that cute. Would be nice to be able to at least watch an ad or two to get better clothing but that's not optional.

It's a fun game and I honestly did like it AT FIRST, the only problem is the diamonds. when you want to unlock something, it takes so much of your diamonds it's honestly ridiculous, they try to scam you out of you're money. The game is great. But there's still a lot of bugs and glitches, like some characters are wearing swimsuits during the finals, blindfolds not showing on the face or just blending in the character's skin, accessories are layered UNDER the character's sprites, backgrounds are literally missing, and so on. I can't fully immerse myself because of it :(

The stories are great and I like how we can customize our character, but it seems like almost every choice ends up with a pay wall. The diamonds we accumulate from watching ads and in the start of downloading the app doesn't last because most choices (and outfits) are between 10(low end choices) up to 17-29. For outfits it's between 14-21. The tasks to earn diamonds so far only apply to the bombshell and not other stories

it's it's really good game, the drama, is si tea, the romance is on point but the only thing is, that I have to wait until the next day to get more gems and we get 30 a day in totally and the outfit and character costumisation ranges from 7 to 26 and plus you need gems to make chooses with are like 10 gems, 17 gems, and 29 gems if it's a key romance decision and it have like two 17 gem choose per episode sometimes, and one 10, so 30 gems just isn't enough, I want them to increase it

Having to pay a ton of diamonds for a different outfit or an action in the game is ridiculous. I spent $30 in less than a week, I buy diamonds, close my game, open it later and my diamonds disappear. I messaged on the app with the problem and they responded 3 days later, asked me send receipts of my purchases, then the conversation closed, and I couldn't send the pictures. but don't send multiple messages about the same issue? The game is okay, it’s not bad. The only problem is the gems and how you can only choose to be a girl (from my experience). Starting either the gems. You have to use them to get everything. Not only that, watching ads to get them and only getting a small amount back. This is exactly how Episode fell out. Second, the gender thing. I am a girl, so I was gonna choose a girl anyway. But I do occasionally on other games choose guys just to see what it’s like. Hell, maybe other guys wanna play. Just add more choices for stuff without needing to pay whether it’ll actually affect my bank account or not.

I honestly do like this game, but the developers are missing a serious opportunity to keep their loyal players. I also play episode and like that I can pay a monthly subscription to get passes and gems. Since there’s no way to have story lines without paying gems, I think a subscription option should be added to ensure that there are enough gems. Until then I’ll just play Episode and give up on this app

Not that fun of a game

I was really wanting to like this game thinking it would be like the ‘too hot to handle’ apps. But unfortunately this game is just money hungry. I played for like a good 20 minutes. Everything cute and fun needs diamonds and you have to pay or sit and watch a 5 minute ad every 10 minutes for 3 measly diamonds. Everything costs 10+. And it plays ads mid game as well. It’s more like what episode turned into. Very disappointing and a waste of time.

Some Options to Consider

I do like this game - it's weirdly exciting, and the gameplay / plots are really good. However, there's some things I would heavily (and I mean *heavily*) suggest that the developers fix. But if you're reading as someone looking into getting the game, here's some concerns: - Firstly, a lot of reviews complain about not being able to spend diamonds. I'd complain about what happens when people don't spend them. Please, for the love of God, don't make the in game characters bully us for our basic clothing. It's like they're saying "Oh, you're wearing that because you're poor? Hm. Okay." Plus, there should be a few more available scenes to have private times with your partner / get juicy gossip without ALWAYS spending gems. A few times is fine. Always is dumb. - CUSTOMISATION. I'm mixed (white & asian) and there's basically no customisation for either race. It's basically biased towards one type of look, which is fine, but just keep at least the basics consistent between each season (lip types, eye types, nose types) so we can make our characters look somewhat like us / what we want without constantly noticing how UGLY the customisation is. OMG. It's a huge issue because I don't even want to play the upcoming season w a character who barely looks like me. I'm ranting just a little and I don't feel like writing much more. If this review makes *any* difference, I'll probably come back, up the stars and give some more briefs. Otherwise, yeah, the game is fun and it had some wicked cool updates semi-recently, but those are starting to go downhill again.

Don’t get me wrong, the game is so much fun and quite addicting. However, it’s only fun when you can afford the outfits/adventures with the gems that you do have. Give more ads to earn more gems or make the gem reward amount higher than 3. Not only that, but you have to wait so long before you can watch another ad. I really overall love this game a lot! the version of this game that has been released for the past four or so years is honestly, well and truly, egregious. this game, in the first two “seasons” of it, had some of the most care going into the characterization and player’s choices that i’ve ever seen in a dating sim; let alone a phone game. it was a game i was begging people to play in my real life. i was literally a moderator for this company’s subreddit at one point. now, though: the depth and joy of the two only good seasons are literally lost forever. to call this game a beaten, dead horse is beyond an understatement. from season 4 onward, the development teams and/or executives involved every single time have made it remarkably clear how little they care about diversity of actual choice and option. there is zero to minimal effort put into making interesting content rather than “successful” content. for years, it has been groundhog day of the same boring plot points, the same lazy characterization, the same unefforted and now often obviously AI dialogue, and the same pathetic attempts to charge as much as possible for the poor folks that haven’t figured out they can get better story quality and player recognition out of a damn Episode story. the disappointment i have about where this game ended up literally randomly hits me even years later like waves of grief, and i hope whatever people that are making money off of these story decisions never see peace

Very fun game! I wish the choices didn't cost so much in-game currency. It makes it really difficult to progress. I also wish there were other ways to increase your game currency without paying real money. There just aren't many options, and I’ve already spent £10 on the game (that’s my limit). I also think you should get some sort of in-game reward for completing a season. And why don’t the outfits, hair, makeup, etc that you spent gems on carry over to the next season you play? That seems unfair. You should either retain the options or have the gems you spent on them returned on completion of the season, so they can count towards another character creation in the next season you play. I wouldn't have spent them the way I did during my first season if I were aware they wouldn't carry over to my future seasons. The choices were so costly, I figured they would be a permanent addition to your wardrobe. I actually think this game would do better as a monthly subscription app or as a one-time purchase. It’s so fun, but just too difficult to progress as is.

I genuinely love this game. The only reason why I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 stars is because of the fact that all the good juicy choices like sneaking off with your partner or getting certain information about what’s being said in the villa cost so many diamonds and they are so hard to get without having to buy them. Fun Game !

Although some options are kinda pricey, the gems are highly affordable and the game itself is super fun regardless of spending gems or not. I just wish they would give more tickets especially after waiting 2hours

I love it but…

this game is RLLY fun! It has amazing storylines and well written characters that r easily likable, however, it sucks that a lot of if not all the good things that make the game rlly fun in the first place is gems. Y is knowing tea 17+ gems? Idk! I bought 90 gems and they were gone in 3 chapters. I find this absolutely ridiculous. I also feel they should have different options for free outfits, hair, face, etc. having to pay tons of gems just to not look plain IS SO ANNOYING 💔

Limited romance

The game is overall great, I was a bit disappointed when I found out in ‘chasing dreams’ Gabriel’s romance was limited to annabell and milly, yall should make him an option. Amazing game otherwise

Yall don't even mention spending diamonds on the description. that's taking advantage of people right there. i am embarrassed. at least announce "yo btw you gon have to spend all your money on this game or else you won't have fun" please and thank you. give a LITTLE warning. but overall game would be awesome if it wasn't for the obvious reasons.

Missing an entire demographic - men

I thought it was a mistake at first. But I quickly realized that you can only play as a female. There is no option to play as a man. I guess they are ok with lesbians but heaven forbid a gay man comes to the island. You are missing out on a huge demographic, and we have money to spend.

This game looks cool and all but love island there are girls and guys coming into the villa, there should be an option to create a character as a guy and play as him. Until that happens it’ll stay 1 star for me.

Pay to win + waiting time for tickets

This game is basically just them asking for money from you. Every episode theres like 5 different opportunities to spend gems and every time you reject it they ask “are you sure” and show the option again to convince you. Like I’m not spending 17 gems to listen in on a conversation excuse me?? Everything is super overpriced on top of that like if you’re gonna keep trying to make me spend diamonds at least make stuff cheaper than 20 per choice. This game is also basically the exact same as Episode except its love island.. just a cheap copy. The worst part of the app is probably the tickets though, to even play an episode you have to spend 1 ticket and you have a limit to how many u can have at once. To even get another ticket you have to either watch an ad or wait an hour for ONE TICKET! Waste of your time, do not play.

Gems and tickets cost real money it’s a waste

The game is interesting and all but I hate how you have to start with little gems and tickets and then they get finished up before you even started the game. And not having enough of them is really annoying since the best choice need gems but you have none which is so annoying I absolutely hate it. Please fix this cuz it’s not a fun game with that

Hire back the old writers

This game still has such potential to be good, but the storylines and drama is so one dimensional and short. It’s so hard to actually get invested in and it feels like the storylines have no actual impact

Information that you have multiple languages is misleading

Oh my, its say here that it has 8 languages available and when you install it won’t even give you the option to change the language, I went to support inside the same game to find out about this and it clearly says they only have the game available in English, the worst is that I already put money into this, I don’t understand why they don’t give the information correctly
