Needs an update

I used to play this game almost a decade ago it’s super fun, I just came back to it and I’m sad to see that a lot of features don’t work anymore. You can still play it’s just annoying at times because you can’t see your money, or the buy button, and it’s hard to see the map, the game just needs an update.

Why not update it for modern screen sizes?

I played this game years ago and still remember it, pleased to find it again. It is a 5 star game easy but I rate 1 star because the UI is really hard to read with modern phones resolutions and some parts of the game like the store (not in app purchases but in game items which are necessary) are on the verge of breaking as there is no buy button at all you just have to tap the lower half of the screen over and over until you hit where I’m guessing the buy button is supposed to render but it doesn’t. If this game gets patched for modern phones I’ll give it 5 stars. As it is it seems it might break tomorrow and be unusable. It also doesn’t fit in modern phone screen ratios but has black bars at the top and bottom. If that doesn’t get patched but the UI does, I’ll still rate 5 stars though.

Aspect Ratio Bug on launch

Don’t Buy!!! (4/21/26) Game is extra zoomed out and no plan to be fixed. Stopped updating 8yrs ago. Ui doesn’t work as intended bc of the aspect ratio.

Please Fix The Graphics, Too Zoomed In

I used to love this game as a lid but now when playing it on iPhone 15 the screen os too Zoomed out some graphics in the shop aren’t visible. I’d really love to play this again. Pls fix I would pay if I could 😭😭😭

Absolutely unplayable in 2025

The game is fun but the menus and aspect ratio seems completely outdated. Cant hardly navigate the store in-game. Got recommended this game after looking for something like A Game About Digging a Hole, and this one came up. Really wish it could be updated but I doubt it, since the EX version came out on Apple Arcade and I bet they’re not worried about this one anymore. I’m glad it’s still available in this form rather than delisted, but it’s no less forgotten.

Pixel framing got wonky

I adore this game, it’s one of the few that I keep on my phone. I hadn’t played in years and just opened it recently to replay to find that somewhere along the way the scale and framing of everything got messed up. Such a shame to see such an amazing game get neglected :( I hope it’s updated one day so I can relive the magic and new players can experience it!

Fix for recent phones

Good game but it’s got new problems

When I originally played it game was great and fit on screen perfectly, don’t know why but the menu in the game is super broken now and it’s all overlapping and broken. Game can still be played but needs an update so fit new phone screens.

Used to be great, now broken

Just paid $3 for this and tried playing it on my iPhone 13 mini and all the fish are extremely small, the waves on the top of the water don't reach across the screen, and the pause menu is like split. I used to love this game on my old phone! Frustrating.

App is Unplayable

Unplayable

I had this game years ago and remember it being a great time and I recently remembered it so I figured why not buy it again. It will not allow things to be purchased from the store and I can tell that there are bugs in the loading screen plus the game is very zoomed out compared to what it used to be. Complete waste of money. If it was the same game I remember then it would be an easy 5 star game.

Broken game & Broken shop

Just purchased $3 for this game & immediately regret it… not only are visual & game design are really small but the shop itself is literally broken meaning I can’t buy any upgrades & I’m stuck playing with basic equipment as a beginner. Only took 3 min & less to just delete the game since there was nothing else I can do to play.

A Cry for Support

Ok, the title for this review may be a bit over exaggerated but I seriously do like the game. I just need help with what the game and its display. The buttons work great but on my screen (IPhone 12), they display only in the top right corner. Correct my if I’m wrong but I believe the game may be thinking I’m on an Apple Watch or it’s just a genuine bug. If anyone, but especially Vlambeer sees this review, please help, the game looks amazing and I’d like to enjoy it myself

Screen Scaling on New Phones is bad

While the game is still great on an older phone (my Xr still plays it perfectly) I was disappointed to discover, that on my iPhone 14 it looks like the video is corrupt. It’s still possible to play, but it would be very nice if I didn’t have to guess where items were in the shop, and if it played at regular speed limiting my depth. On the other hand it’s almost like using a cheat code and bugging the game, making it easier? But I miss the ridiculousness of the game as it’s intended and hope that Vambleer chooses to update this game. The Apple Arcade variant is good, but I have nostalgia for this one.

DO NOT BUY!

This game is broken to the point where it’s almost impossible to play I bought it and immediately realized the issues, the screen to continue to the shop or keep fishing is scaled down by a lot but this isn’t the main issue, the main issue is the store is completely broke price tags and purchases buttons are hidden behind other items so it’s almost impossible to buy items or see the price. I play radical fishing on pc back in 2011 and got this bc I figured it was the next best thing but it was not. Do not waste your money on this broken game if I could get a refund I would.
