As a fan of card game like hearthstone, gwent, night of the full moon, mm fates, mm duels of champions, elders scrolls legends, slay the spire etc I can truly recommend this game, worth the money.
- Vasquez · v2.8.9
Good game, but the resolution suddenly shifts and crops a portion of the screen every time I switch from the app and back. please fix.
- Rinat Veliakhmedov · v2.8.9
I have played a lot of card battlers/roguelike games such as Slay The Spire and other popular titles. This game actually massively rewards strategic thinking, creativity, really just planning ahead and problem solving. It limits factors like RNG, and if you lose, it's really either due to lack of knowledge (and the game's UI and tutorial do a great job at this), or you need to improve as a strategist. Hands down best card battler for me. Each run is different, and fresh too.
- Ezequiel Valenzuela · v2.8.9
I picked this up on a whim and really enjoyed it. There wasn’t the grind usually associated with mobile deckbuilders, the different characters felt unique (though I haven’t played them all yet) and its mechanics distinguish it from other games in the genre.
- Wigglesworth1 · v2.8.9
great game, but it's not showing full screen, black bar on top(front camera side).
- pranav · v2.8.9
Hard? tick. Hard? tick Really enjoying the game, so well done. A ton to unlock. I suck at writing reviews. So download and play!
- jonathan booth · v2.8.5
One of my favourite deck builders. Highly recommend, if you are looking for something less random and where you feel powerful building your own deck, Vault of the Void us for you!
- Dmytro “DimaX” Brykaylo · v2.8.5
Worst tutorial I have ever seen. Complete waste of my money.
- Marc Hedge · v2.8.5
I loved playing through the first time, but was really mad when I died and found out you loose all your cards and start all over. The learning curve was big mainly because I had to guess how to select something or move the game forward. Card games like this should allow you to build and keep your own deck.
- 345543bw · v2.7.54
Very Disappointed, the game does not display correctly and does not fill the full screen of the phone. Makes it hard to play, wish I knew this before I purchased, wasted money
- Christopher Mure · v2.7.54
Amazing card roguelike. I love the art and the mechanics. The DLCs are also very well priced. Buy it and support the developers.
- Travis B · v2.7.52
Fun + replayable
- DE C · v2.7.52
I’ve been playing this on and off for over a year and still keep coming back. I recently won runs with all 4 base characters on i+70 (just in time for the new 5th character). I love how each characters plays so differently. The amount of depth and freedom in building your deck is incredible, and the Instability system is such a smart way to customize the challenge. Honestly feels like a steal for the price. Easily one of the best deckbuilders out there.
- AgentGanon · v2.7.46
The best deck builder out there. Bought it twice. Cross play works flawlessly.
- Peter Jones · v2.7.46
font is a bit to small to make the game playable.
- Anthony Nichols · v2.6.55
I was just trying this game out at first then I started to really get into it a bit more and now i like it a lot and couldn't stop playing it and I support it the team behind this game but when I found out that this game is doing a cross over with one of my favorite deck building games (Dawncasters) i got so excited about this game even more and wanted to support the devs for sure. Definitely worth the money 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 9/10
- Druettus Edward T. · v2.6.55
It’s a lot of fun, and visually impressive. The information overload at the start is frustrating for a while though. There’s also a lot of relics taking up space that have useless effects like gain 20 block on your 4th turn every battle. Definitely need to remove or just tighten them up. Note to dev: Also I end up purging cards when I meant to play them, and vice versa. It happens more when there’s only one enemy, so an option to play a card by flinging it to the left when there’s only 1 enemy would be great.
- jaytothe^2 · v2.6.52
Consistently buggy controls on mobile. The worst part is that the screen locks constantly, making it frustrating to play. Amateur programming all around.
- Thunderhorse · v2.6.52
The art! So well done. Lots of really fun options and gameplay mechanics to play with, game gets really satisfying when you spend a little time on it, as the terms need a little reading and memorising. The only let down for me was the monk - his play style is really interesting, and fun, but the complex and strangely named terminology for each mechanic prevented me from enjoying what probably is a super cool character. Perhaps simplifying the descriptions a bit would help. 9.5/10, amazing.
- Benjamin C · v2.6.52
Great game and well worth the cost. a bit of a learning curve to get into, and would be even better with more card diversity, but still lots of fun as is.
- Matthew Crouch · v2.6.52
This is a fantastic and unique roguelite deckbuilder.
- renegade_cutthoat · v2.6.52
I know that there's an issue with resolution, but my Pixel 9 XL can't fully maximize the screen area with this game for some reason. Great gameplay so far though
- Chris Montgomery
too buggy. zeal doesn't work at all.
- Adam Stout · v2.6.50
this game is awesome it's so much fun
- unknown · v2.6.50
The cards do the play animation when you just tap on them. How much damage an enemy will do is displayed via circle, and how much energy they have is depicted on a sword. I don't really know how to say it. This is a good game, but it gives me a headache, especially if I'm swapping between this, Slay the Spire, and Dawncaster.
- Lionicre · v2.6.50
Just started playing, very agreeable gameplay and graphics, this card game deserves a lot more players
- Stefen Heiff · v2.6.50
love this game. started on steam and bought on android to support. hope.to see more games from this creator.
- stephen solomon · v2.6.45
A very good alternative to Slay the Spire. Some key differences with StS : -Your deck is limited to 20 cards, and you can change cards in your deck whenever you want. You have way more control on deck composition and can pivot to an other build during a run. -You can see all battle rewards from the map screen, so you can prepare your deck in advance and aim for the cards you want. I'd recommend giving this a try to roguelike deckbuilder enjoyers, but it may be a bit too complex for newcomers.
- Seb V · v2.6.45
I consider deckbuilding roguelike/lites as my favorite genre. this is a top tier game from top to bottom. If you play slay the spire, imagine having the ability to choose up to a specified limit, which cards in your deck are played or set aside for every battle. it's amazing and you won't regret your time with it
- BLAPGaming
I'm relatively new to roguelike deck building, after trying balatro and Slay the Spire, Vault of the Void is fresh for me and on different niche from the aforementioned two. Hope the Android version will be more optimized and get regular updates. Kudos to the developer team!
- Aldi Ridwan · v2.6.39
Deck-builder is my favourite genre on Android, but this one left me cold. It consciously removes a lot of the rng from the traditional formula, which makes it more chess-like. However the decisions are not satisfying enough, and it just feels dry when compared to similar games. My advice is to look elsewhere.
- Joseph Johnson
I like the game, and I think it has a ton of potential, but I find it to be very frustrating because the mobile experience often causes cards to accidentally trigger when I’m just trying to read them. I feel like there should be an option to adjust the activation of cards so double tapping them doesn’t activate, and instead dragging them to the appropriate target does (for self-targeting cards just use the top of the screen); this is basically how StS handles it and I’ve put hundreds of hours into that game on mobile with almost no accidental activation. I’ve put maybe 5 hours on this game and I accidentally activate cards at least twice a run, which is really annoying. I would love to play this game more and update my review if this one issue was addressed.
- paw44us · v2.6.39
On iPhone 11, this game displays with black bars on the left, preventing a full-screen experience. This is a major annoyance, particularly for players with OCD. Is there a fix in development
- zhiyu1928 · v2.6.39
Only thing I ask that you guys add is more dev support packs, genuinely would buy a pack that doesn’t have any card backs or anything just to support the devs because you guys made an absolute banger
- Coc hack 2403 · v2.6.39
gud deck build
- Neil · v2.6.15
Too many rules. It's hard to keep track of what's going on. There are way too many effects going on at once
- Vinícius Negrão · v2.6.39
Like slay the spire but with more control in building your deck, has 4 characters that each have 3 different starting decks to pick from and tons of challenge runs to play and with many difficulty settings to play from that make. Easy 5/5 for me, although i feel the game needs abit more content like maybe some new 1st enemy encounters and maybe a third floor would be cool, make it half the size but more streamlined with rewards and more elites, it could be a difficulty modifier.
- Yaseen Mansfield · v2.6.35
Very great card game. Anyone who enjoys climbing towers or completing runs, collecting 'boss relics'= RECOMMENDED
- FoxTrotDieRot · v2.6.31
If you enjoy slay the spire, this is the game for you.
- Taif Al-cookie · v2.6.15
This game has all the mechanics you'd expect from an adventure card game, with a few interesting twists. The gameplay will be familiar to fans of the genre, and is definitely worth the price as-is. I would like to see a little more polish in the interface and animations, but it's still in early access. The game is a little rough around the edges, but it definitely does a fantastic job of scratching that CCG itch.
- Jeremiah M (Vllama) · v2.6.15
I absolutely love this game! It is very similar to StS but I feel it has improved on that style. It gives you more control over each run. All 4 of the characters are good though they play very different from each other. My major complaint with this game is the difficulty balancing. When selecting difficulty you have intro, normal, hard, impossible & impossible+. I have successfully completed around 50 runs on normal yet not 1 on hard, 6 attempts so far. Normal is too easy, hard is too hard.
- Aaron Eirls · v2.6.15
I love this game, and the more I play the more I love it. The amount of control you have is satisfying and the wins feel earnt and rewarding. Up there with my favourite deck builders and well worth the price
- Peter Torckler · v2.6.15
Excellent optimization, phenomenal developer, great game. I rank this alongside Slay the Spire, Dawncaster, and Monster Train as one of the best roguelike deckbuilders available on the AppStore. Well worth the price tag.
- WetThunder · v2.6.15
A game so good I bought it twice. It's a card building roguelike with its own identity. Easier than spire at a baseline and feels more like a sealed deck run instead. That's in part due to the design differences. There are 4 characters, each with 3 variations on starting deck that push you in different directions. Then the game is balanced around drawing to a fixed hand size, while maintaining energy. This lets you choose when to hold cards freely, or turn cards into energy to bank for later.
- Daniel Bayer · v2.6.15
Majorly fun and addictive I have the steam version, and honestly I think they did a brilliant idea of thinking "if we just advertise this is also on phones they'll probably buy it to take it with them." And here I am! Did the introductory run, then the normal run. Excellent game. Only thing I'll say was a downer. Introductory run, 1 stage =7,000 reward. Normal run I got to the fault = 11,000 reward. Wth?!
- Yoda The · v2.6.15
Been playing a few weeks now and updating my review:) Great fun and very challenging game. No energy system and waiting around...New update is real nice and new features and content are great. Crisp and tight. This is one of the best card games out there for sure.. very original, and did I say challenging ;) also, if you're having trouble reading some in game menu text due to small print..as i was..go to Options-Video and increase the UI Scale slide bar :)
- Darin Manuel · v2.6.15
already played and loved the steam version. while the gameplay is identical to the steam version, the usabiontrollity sadly is worse, somehow I frequently play cards when I'm trying to purge them , and on a rare occasion I play cards when trying to look at them. I hope at least the first point can be fixed, maybe make the purge area bigger? it's fine on PC , but on mobile with touch controls it doesn't seem work as well.
- Lukas KRITZL · v2.6.14
Great game, cross play is a big plus, and art and play style are fantastic.
- Sean Acosta · v2.6.14
Likely would be fun for hardcore CCG/TCG players but I found it so clumsy that I barely finished the first round of combat. The game mechanics and the UI are inelegant at best and at worst they are insensible. The devs obviously care about the game so I mean no disrespect - I wonder if maybe their expertise is in card games and not in mobile games.
- WillisOnly · v2.6.14
This game takes my favorite genre and fixes the only thing i dislike about rogue-likes: The ability to plan and build a deck that can also be tuned when you come across enemies that are weak to your chosen build. There are still enough RNG elements to make every run unique and fun, and the class mechanics are fun. Note to devs: I’m playing on a large version iPad and sometimes some text gets cut off on the far right of the screen. Not a show stopper, just a small detail.
- 975jm · v2.5.22
Awesome game ! I have 200 hours on steam and still bought mobile version!
- Simon Pietrocatelli · v2.5.22
I've played a lot of card games, this one is fun, different new and exciting. Hooked and addicted.
- Corbin Tolar · v2.5.22
This game was recommended to me via the supporter pack (Via Dawncaster). It's a neat little deck builder game that is a great alternative to other deck builder games. Like dawncaster, you can play this game offline. So, if you're like me and hate talking to people at social events. This games great for keeping your mind entertained for hrs on end.
- EE Aroche · v2.5.22
Heard of this game from Dawncaster, and let me say their recommendation did NOT disappoint. The animations are great, building your deck is very much in your control and less rng oriented, and the class playstyles are very fun to play and experiment with. I’m always on the lookout for great deck builders, as many are free to play and the ones that aren’t are usually smaller in scope or horrible balanced, games like Vault of the Void and Dawncaster really are the “height” of premium deck building experiences, definitely will support further to see what content and updates they add if any, for $7 the asking price is more than fair, you can tell there was a lot of work put into this.
- dustycinnabon · v2.5.22
Good game. Just like; StS, dawncaster, Rogue Adventure, in that there are unique classes, and intricate level board with pretty cool original features (planning a path! So cool). 3 Stars cause finishing a run doesn't feel rewarding. There's no class upgrades, or perks to carry forward. You just rinse and repeat. It would be nice to implement some kind of progression through class upgrades/buffs, or even earning fixed relics of some sort. It just feels kind of stale. But it's super fun!
- Alex · v2.5.22
-Great Gameplay. Cards Feel snappy when drawn, used, disgarded. Music is SOLID. Cards Art is very well made. Love how each card really does feel different. Depth and amount to see is amazing. Love the purge system Finally the dev is a great guy, had a problem (turns out it was my fault) and he got back to me in a timley maner. Only negative is that some actions of cards man be confusing to new players of the genre.....but. This game is up there with the best.
- Jake Sandvik · v2.5.22
I hate leaving a review like this but this genre is getting really old. The rogue-lite deck building card games and most card games in general on mobile. Its all the same now. You have energy, spend energy, attack, block, summon, discover combos,..blah blah blah. Dawncaster is my favorite game in this genre but even that game is starting to get old. I am avoiding rogue-lites more and more.
- Jim May · v2.5.22
Fun game. Big improvement over Slay the spire.
- Jason Turan · v2.5.22
It's fun but some of the difficulty just feels unfair. Enemies that respawn to full health the next turn after defeated is just wack. I understand having like 1 or 2 battles like this but enemy's respawning with full health being a main mechanic is very lame. It makes it feel like a trudge sometimes.
- bubba gump · v2.5.22
Best roguelike deck builder I've played since Slay the Spire
- D K · v2.5.22
Is there any possible way you’d be willing to make this game accessible to low vision or blind users. I assumed that this game would be accessible like Dawncaster. I enjoy rogue, like deck, builder games, if they are accessible.
- Ssj vegeta · v2.5.22
Fixed! Thanks for the fast response. (Sheepish)
- Andy · v2.5.22
Vault of the Void on mobile offers a compelling and engaging deck-building experience that will appeal to fans of the genre. Its focus on player skill, strategic depth, and diverse content makes it a standout game in the mobile market. While some bugs and a lack of substantial unlockable content might be drawbacks, the game's overall quality and potential for replayability make it a worthwhile addition to any mobile gamer's collection.
- ꧁༒Leͥgeͣnͫd༒꧂ · v2.5.22
Random number generator, determines outcomes. It has a sheen of complexity, but eventually you will hit fights were you simply don't attack and watch yourself hit end turn repeatedly until dead 🤣 awful game.
- Nigel Underhill (MrXeis) · v2.5.22
This game is awesome. My only ‘complaint’ is that the tiering system isn’t as gradual as Slay the Spire and Monster Train. But as a whole Vault of the Void is on par with those games as far as graphics (superior), gameplay, synergies, strategies, breadth, and depth. Great job to the creator!!
- Imperial Japan · v2.5.22
Slay the Spire walked, so Vault of the Void could run. Highly recommend
- Dotsick · v2.5.22
Good game, but ran into a strange bug. Skills were working fine, but now no matter what I do I can’t get any to work on any character. Not sure what happened, but trying to play the game without being able to use a characters skill makes the game less enjoyable. If that bug is fixed, though, definitely a 5 star game.
- Dachlover · v2.5.22
Continuing on from the title, from all the positive reviews, I thought okay, I’ve gotta know if they paid for their reviews… Nope, it’s legit. This game is [expletive deleted] AWESOME!! If you’ve ever played ‘Slay the Spire’, it’s kind of like that, with WAY BETTER mechanics in my opinion. I love it.. honestly. 5 stars all day!!
- Mr M Bag · v2.5.19
I’m really enjoying the game. Better than slay the spire for sure. Characters are really different from each other. A lot of variance through each play through. No in app purchases Wouldn’t hurt to add more things too unlock even though they mostly cosmetic.
- dr.d. freash · v2.5.19
Problem is the text is so microscopic in size I can’t read any of the details needed to play the game!! What a bummer 😲
- skywxp3d · v2.5.19
I bought VAULT OF THE VOID FOR APPLE. I have a problem in terms of synchronization problems when it is through the Apple cloud. Has anyone had the same problem? Also with the keyboard of my iPad m4 the keyboard gives problems only with that game. When one uses the trackpad it does not respond to commands, it is only in that game.
- iO Ruiz · v2.5.19
I bought this game solely because I just happen to see it in the top paid Card games in the AppStore, not knowing anything about it. The end result, Wow! Will update with full review within a week of this post.
- myst515 · v2.5.16
If you’re a fan of slay the spire, buy this. It’s different, and it’s VERY polished. Has a 9/10 on steam. Just freakin’ buy it.
- In5omniak · v2.5.16
Things I’ve appreciated so far: * Solid and diverse puzzle dynamics in enemy setups. * Ability to plan deck archetype by virtue of being able to see card rewards in advance of choosing enemy encounters. * I consider reactive blocking a substantial improvement over the traditional preemptive style. * Design clearly prioritizes UI. Map movement is somewhat nuanced over the traditional tree structure, but selection UI makes the consequences of your choice quite clear. Readability is quite good for my aging vision on my iPhone 13 Pro. Given other people’s comments, perhaps there’s a flaw in the scaling for higher res phones? * I’ve only played the bleed/combo archetype so far, which is solid, but I can see the developer put some thought into organically branching specializations. * Upgrades, rather than being an integer increment, are a one-time revamp of the card. The changes can be quite substantive in terms of utility.
